2. POP UP AD bar

The interenet is an amazing tool but not everybody undersands the complete value it possesses. For many websites or mobile applications someone has to pay for them regardless of their success. Pop-up ads or pop-ups usually pop up generally to get the users personal information, such as an email address or interupt them fro whatever it is they're doing on the world wide web. This will benefit the advertiser because that will enable them to send more information about their products to this person, now that they have thejir personal information.Of course on the other hand, they did not get this persons permission or if the user just clicked accidentally to get rid of the pop up the user obviously is not inerested in what the adverisement has to offer them. A great alternaive to pop ups is to make more efforst to get permission marketing so peopl don't have to waste time with them. Not only will this waste the users time but the advertiser as well.

Usually a pop up bar will pop up intending for you to want to quickly get rid of it so perhaps you fill out the information right away by quickly hitting a button, a name, or even accidentally clicking on the pop up ad creating more pop ups for the future. Many occur on porn cites in hope to show the user a new upcoming advertisement.

The actual pop up window itself has commonly been maintained existence by JavaScript by using cross-site scripting or another common name is by using Adobe Flash. It is not easy for the user to figure out which site could have opened the pop up unless you visit thie site on a regular basis and constantly get pop ups whenever you open this site.

Click "play" below to see how to get rid of pop ups:

Similar to the SPAM feature in email it is possible to block pop up bars. The imfamous Opera Winfrey was the first to block pop up ads shortly after Internet Explorer managed to block them as well. It is not uncommon for web browsers to have installed a pop up blocking feature these days.

If you're not careful with the free music, pornographic sites visited, or even certain images pop ups can easily cause viruses on you computer. Sometimes you will lose your current web information or page if you click to refresh or restart becasue the pop up will not disappear. If you're lucky you can easily get rid of pop ups by pressing down the ctrl button on your keyboard and a link will create a bypass option in order to filter the pop up.

3. Mobile Applications

Almost everyone owns a smartphone, i-pad, laptop, or some kind of electronic device that enables us to constantly download the newest version of the latest most creative internet application. There are apps for anything you can think of in the new digital era. Almost half of the U.S. population claims when they click to download an application it is by accident or for free of cost. If every company, hobby, or category has special apps for everyone then why not download them on to your hand held device?

A mobile app can provide you with everything you need simply by clicking a screen on your phone and usually require a wi-fi connection. All apps are interactive mainly because you have to take a picture, move the device in a certain direction, or press buttons on the screen. Mobile apps, like all technology were created in order to make users lives easier, faster, and of course more convenient by creating a device that can easily access information you would normally reach through your home computer.
With your smart phone and mobile apps your can access the same services right from your portable handheld computer devices. Mobile apps can be anything and are everything you ever needed such as : search engines, social networking, coffee locator, gps, universal music distributor, instant messaging , international messaging, fitness exercises, word doc, you name it it’s on its way!
A downside to mobile apps and electronic devices in general are that they can be very distracting. If kids are always using their phone in class, at dinner, on a date, or even in a movie. People are forgetting how to interact comfortably with each other or feel incomplete without the security of their smart phone or i-pad device right at their side.

4. Out Door Advertisements made as a FUN GAME:

Everyone knows McDonald’s is fast and convenient. Well this billboard enables you to physically figure this out for yourself. The main concept is for those passing by to simply “sort your head out” when purchasing a cheap one dollar large coffee fm McDonald’s fast food restaurant. The image is distorted at first and the women is attractive so to catch someone’s eye. The ad is an image of a models head scrambled up, allowing you to really sort out the pieces to finally reveal McDonald’s logo. It can be individual or a group effort to find the correct pieces.

This kind of out- doors interactive advertising can be fun and becomes a bit of a challenge for whom ever is playing the game. Everyone loves a good challenge, and everyone loves their coffee in the morning. So why not have both with McDonald’s new interactive ad provided here!

Another example of how McDonald's is using out door interacion as a sort of game is demonsrating the coffee beansfull or half full for free coffee promotion. This encourages the consumer to hurry and get over to McDonald's before the promotion runs out. They can phyisically see the time running out with the coffee showing the date and end of poromotion.

5. First interactive poster ad responds to people's sight

This out-of- home interactive advertisement is the first of its kind to react when the audience looks at it. The message presented here is letting the viewer see the kind of physical damage that can be done when you least expect it. In this case, a women and her partner look very happy, then suddenly you look away and she is being hit. Suggesting that women need to be careful and abuse can happen when you don’t see it coming. This can really get into the viewers head because it is very shocking and creates fearful emotional feelings. This could bring up emotional or vicarious experiences which in turn can be a negative aspect; at the same time that is the point. Anyone who sees this ad is not likely to be thinking of a happy moment. The fact is this ad is very powerful; just by someone simply looking in the other direction.

Anyone can interact with this poster who possesses sight. The main target can be anyone who has been in a situation like this or reminds the viewer to never get herself in a situation like this.

6. QR CODE INFO: Ralf Lauren Advertisement

Every ad these days has a QR code attachment. This Ralph Lauren ad. is very traditional but what makes it interactive is the QR code. QR is short for Quick Response (they can be read quickly by a cell phone) and are originally from Japan. They are used to take a piece of information from a transitory media and put it in to your cell phone.

QR Codes can be found in a magazine, on billboards, a website, leaflet, or newspaper. Anyone with a smart phone can use one, which targets pretty much everyone willing to stop to take a photo for some information about the –shirt or pair of pants. Many consumers will simply take a picture of the QR code from their mobile phones and it is designed to give you full details about the product you seek out. They are supposed to be a better version of a barcode because instead of a scanner you can a handheld phone to “scan” the QR code. This can include where a nearby store is to purchase this product, it may give you some info. about an upcoming sale or coupon available.

QR codes make it easy to access information about a product that interests you, that is right in front of you. You are interacting by simply taking a picture and hopefully finding a nearby location. I like the ad because it is simple but if the audience wants more interaction then something more 3D or technology based would be preferred. Although with little effort it offers a lot of information regarding the advertisement.

7. Augmented Reality: Mini Cooper

The mini was first launched in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) as a response to the European fuel crisis of the late 1950s. The concept of a mini was for it to be a four-seated, affordable car that is fuel-efficient and still small enough to travel in safety.
Augmented Reality is a form of virtual reality, through a  simple computer lens. The AR system requires three basic components: head mounted display, tracking system and mobile computer for the hardware. As of today, research and development are being done to merge these three components to portable objects, such as a pair of glasses. everyday lives in various fields. In terms of business, companies can use AR to promote and advertise products in creative ways.

Mini Cooper used AR to promote their new line of coopers in early 2009 in its country of origin, Germany. The company bought the back covers of three main German automotive magazines and used AR to show off the new models. On those selected back covers, there was a symbol along with instructions to go to a certain website in order to use AR through a webcam.

This campaign’s target audiences are mainly educated, young, and wealthy individuals who can afford a small, convenient and comfortable sports car. The main focus is on the customers who seek for novelty and want to experiment with a new "toy".
AR helps customers to know the product better because it is more convenient and interactive in these ways: 3D images which produces high definition and more details. An area it could improve is more creativity. Although this type of technology is new so it is still limited and expanding all the time.

8. THE “Slower is Better”Advertisement:

Below is an example of in my opinion a life changing billboard. No doubt the billboard is a speedometer; this one is special because it displays future traumatic consequences for cars going over the speed limit of 25mph.

Drivers will not only get to see how fast they’re going and hopefully miss out on a speeding ticket but they will tap into the reality of speeding and the consequences that await the wreck less driver.

The facts displayed are somewhat shocking but some people need to be shocked or put in fear in order to get the idea not to speed. A possible improvement could be to provide death or injuries caused by local accidents from careless driving in order to create a more personal experience for the driver to slow down. Apparently there has been a large decrease in speeding because of this interactive ad. Obviously there is only one major place for this kind of ad, that is on the side of the road, this could be seen as a weakness or strength; that is the whole point of the ad.

9. Become a Street Artist with Ecko Grafiti:

Ecko Grafiti provides an individual to experience amazing talents by creating their own graffiti. They could choose some colors to write a message or enable people to use their phone as a can of spray paint with none other than Bluetooth.

“Becoming a Grafiti Artist” encourages youth to stay creative without breaking the law. It is promoting a positive message as well as artistic individuality. The advertisement is displayed on the street where many kids can speak their mind and express how they feel without being tempted to actually do it on private property or buildings.

A suggested way to improve this ad would be to have a “like” option and place to send or save the “liked” graffiti art. Thus, encouraging these young artists of their talents or boosting their self esteem In addition, there could be a variety of colors to choose from but maybe switch them up from time and again with numerous types of brands to expose their crafty products.

10. “Run for Charity on NIKE’s Treadmill”

Any passerby willing to burn off a few calories and help donate to charity can fast and easily as they head off to work. I love this ad because it is not only helping the consumer to see how little effort it takes to exercise their body but also how little effort it takes to donate to charity. Nike has enclosed a treadmill on the ad, giving anyone that is physically able the opportunity to donate a certain amount to UNICEF for every kilometer run.

In addition, Nike is promoting the treadmill itself in case the consumer feels inclined to make a purchase of their own  treadmill. This advertisement makes a point that Nike is obviously an honorable company if they are donating to charity. Other Nike ads. promote the shoe texture or new style, i-pod entry, etc. but this gives you a real feel for what you could potentially do with your new shoes!
(to view the treadmill click the link below)
http://treadmillsforsalehq.com/

If I had to find a flaw I would say maybe give a price or website for the treadmill that people are actually interacting with incase they want to purchase it for themselves. UNICEF is a global charity run but not everyone knows exactly where the charity donation is going so perhaps people will be more motivated to run longer or faster if they knew specifically what it was for.

11. REDUCE THE BUMPS and MOISTURIZE with Nivea

Nivea used bubble wrap as a tool for potential consumers to physically grasp the idea that with Nivea’s product acne, or “bumps” will pop and be no more. Rather than using the usual poster paper they got creative with actual bubble wrap to explain their messages. This ad is safe and anyone can experiment with it. Nobody will get hurt by popping bubbles on paper and the concept is clear what the product is meant to do for you.

Not only is Nivea getting more interactive with paper bubbles; Nivea has come up with another bubble advertisement only with actual water bubbles coming from the billboard. Check out the video below introducing Nivea and the interactive water bubble billboard:

Both are very interactive and involve a consumer to pay more attention to the ad. The only downside to each would require a Nivea employee to change the bubble wrap and bubble water consistently in order to keep the consumer entertained. Perhaps the water bubbles only produce in the day time to save bubbles. As for the bubble wrap, they will just have to keep replacing it so people can continue to POP it until they want to buy new Nivea products of their own.
