8. THE “Slower is Better”Advertisement:


Below is an example of in my opinion a life changing billboard. No doubt the billboard is a speedometer; this one is special because it displays future traumatic consequences for cars going over the speed limit of 25mph.


Drivers will not only get to see how fast they’re going and hopefully miss out on a speeding ticket but they will tap into the reality of speeding and the consequences that await the wreck less driver.

The facts displayed are somewhat shocking but some people need to be shocked or put in fear in order to get the idea not to speed. A possible improvement could be to provide death or injuries caused by local accidents from careless driving in order to create a more personal experience for the driver to slow down. Apparently there has been a large decrease in speeding because of this interactive ad. Obviously there is only one major place for this kind of ad, that is on the side of the road, this could be seen as a weakness or strength; that is the whole point of the ad.
